Its great on the highway on cruise control at 85mph, has great traction because of its AWD in rain/snow, can tow anything (within reason), and can take a good bit of abuse. if not towing a lot, will it help prolong the life span of the transmission I know the ATF cooler kit do nothing on internal transmission issue but it will prevent overheat. it's about $300 if I install both kits buy myself.

Having the paddle shifters for manually down shifting while towing a trailer down steep mountain roads was a dream. I would also recommend a test drive that let's you feel the 4th / 5th shift (so you must get it on the highway) if you think it might bother you but I find it to be a non-issue and overall find the transmission to be one of the smoothest I've ever driven. Towing. I've done pretty intensive towing with my Pilots (boat, snowmobiles), and that obviously wears the suspension, engine, and transmission heavily. Find out if its been used for towing, and then verify there's an aftermarket power steering cooler and transmission cooler installed.

Towing requires accessory towing equipment. Please see your dealer for details. Interesting to see that the Pilot is again built without the ATF Cooler and it's a dealer installed upgrade? Hopefully the 2016 RL won't have those limitations and additional requirements. I was following and very interested in the Colorado/Canyon but my first, second and third time in the Hey all! I looked through a bunch of threads on this forum and am still in question of my vehicle's capabilities to tow. In May I am moving from Michigan to Boulder Colorado.
